Im trying to get it (and every other link, just havent linked their codes yet) to open in the area, on the main layout page, where it says "heading one AND heading two". Isn't the page you linked to the home page, the index page? At least I would expect a Home link to go to index.html and not home. html.

To open pages in a section of the current page you have to use frames or IFRAME.
