Hello,
can you tell me why Adobe and other developers do not offer html editors for linux users.
I bought a linux pc only to find I can't download dreamwever or even anti virus software to protect my pc.
can anyone here tell me why this is and any good html editors I can download for linux.

Well,
KompoZer is available for Linux. Or you could go with vim or emacs.

SciTE is very nice too. I use it on Windows.
http://www.scintilla.org/SciTE.htmlSome more of which I don't know much.
http://www.linux.com/archive/feature/130601There's also a WYSYWYG called BlueFish or similar and I think NVU has a version for Linux. Here I found some more WYSIWYGs. Just google...

Ah, now I remember KompoZer is the new Nvu.
BTW, if you really want the DW feature set it seems people run DW successfully through wine.

Not sure what version of linux you are using, this is a setup for OpenSUSE 10.3 on howtoforge.com, I have used the setup for debian etch and found it worked well.
http://www.howtoforge.com/the_perfect_desktop_opensuse10.3You should be able to find a setup for your version.
