Hello there.

I'm working on small business website and I'm setting the layout via a table (As I have often been told of the 'evils' of frames).

I was wondering if there is a way to have the table 'fit to page' to allow for various resolutions etc. Some cells for images, logos and menus are fixed, while the main text area I wish to simply stretch out to fit whats left of the viewers screen.

That is my layout so far. The photo of the store is set as a background for that cell, hoping that will allow it to also stretch across the top of the page to match viewers resolution.

Set its width to 100% (or any percentage you think looks good).

No, backgrounds don't stretch. They tile, but you can stop that from happening if you want.
