Sorry to be whiney, but I have posted two seperate threads asking for opinions, but so far have not gotten a single one. When reading through some answers given to questions, I see that most of the time they contain links to other documents but hardly an opinion is whispered.
I know my way around HTML and CSS pretty well, but design may not be my strong suit, so every now and again I need people to actually tell me if they like the way I formatted a page or not. Sure, it is easy to give the quick "validate your code" answer, but sometimes the answer is not so simple. I really want to know what you think, pretty please with sugar on top?

instead of having a dark menu brighten it up a little by changing background colour/picture,
On one of the pages there was tonnes of writing maby you could space it out a little i think by spacing it out people wont think omg look at it all.

Usually I only offer unsolicited comments on the esthetics if they're unusually nice, annoying or reduce usability.
If you want other's opinions on esthetics, the Site Review Requests forum might be the place, but your topic there seemed to be mostly about technical issues...?
