Full Version: Help Designing a Unit Converter

Hello, I have just started using html(two to three months) and I know the basic.

I have decided that I would like to take on the challenge of trying to make a unit converter that will convert any units, such as meters to inches.

I would like it to include a drop down menu for the starting unit, and a drop down menu for the ending unit.

If anybody has any idea on how to make this, or if anybody would be interested in helping me make this, I would be appreaciative.

Thanks
J.Washington

Usually though it's more sensible to make things like this as client scripts, i.e. using javascript. Notice that in any event it's not really what HTML as such is about.

I wrote some photographic calculators this way (a long time ago!) -- they are listed on this page under "About Photography": http://imaginatorium.org/stuff/photo.htm
You might find this helps as reference.
