Hey guys
Is there any way I set a speed for animated gifs in different browsers? apparently my FF2 show them with a fine speed, but IE 6 shows them slower , opera 9 shows them slower too.
any idea?

Apparently, there is nothing you can do about that, reading through a few of
Google search results.

Have you noticed that a (significant) speed difference only occur with some GIFs? Others seems to run at about the same speed in all browsers. Wonder why that is.

I assume you are setting a frame delay (eg. 0.1sec) rather than leaving it at default 0.
I've found this helps - although I have no real idea why different browsers play animated gifs at different rates ... perhaps there's a techy here who can illuminate us.
PS - animated gifs on webpages ... use sparingly, if at all. My 2c.
