hi,

is it possible to open a windows explorer window through an html link, preferably without javascript but not a problem if thats the only solution?

i've tried file///:foldername etc...

this works if i copy and paste the link into the browser address bar but not if i click on a link which calls it.

Any ideas would be appreciated
Thanks
Christian J
It works if the HTML page with the link is stored on the users computer (your example lacks the drive letter, though, but you can also use relative paths).

I recall it used to work from online pages too, but IIRC this was disabled a few years ago for security reasons.
