asmith
hey guys

Does it make any difference (In google results) , that I change my site search title to the keyword the page is about.

I've checked so many forums (including this one), and i searched for a keyword, the title of the result page is "Search results" .
If i change this title to "$keyword - search results" . does it make any difference in google results ? (As i have made a page with a title and the content of the page is SO relevant to the title)

Text in the TITLE element seems to be valued highly by search engines. The rest I didn't quite understand.

Oh! Do you mean you have this now?

<title>search results</title

And wonder if for example this would be better?

<title>asmith - search result</title>

I think it probably would, provided people search for asmith. But I'm no SEO expert. I think it's important that the title in some way describes the content of the page though, not the site at large.

I think it's important that the title in some way describes the content of the page though, not the site at large.

Since the TITLE element is used for several things (including bookmarking), I'd say both. See also
