Hi

I have recently built my own website following evening classes but would not say I am an expert in anyway shape or form. The result so far has very much been trial and error!

I have hit upon a problem that I just cannot seem to crack!

I have recently downloaded 'Formmail' from scriptarchive.com which I have renamed and uploaded to my server and is now held in the cgi-bin. I have been told by my host that they have tested it and it is working.

The problem I have is when I am testing it myself I am recieving an HTTP error 404 and cannot seem to get this resolved.

Does anyone have any answers or fixes I could try??

pages affected are:

http://www.specialadditions.co.uk - Contact Us form on FAQS page and

http://www.specialadditions.co.uk - Trade Page enquiry form

Look forward to hearing from you!

Do you use the correct URL to the script in the action attribute?
http://www.specialadditions.co.uk/cgi-bin/enquirymail.cgi

However, I don't think you should use that scripts. It's a prime target for spammers. They don't spam you, they use your domain and resources to spam others. Things like that can get ugly. Matt tells you about it himself here and also what you can use instead.

Beats me why he doesn't just take the thing off the web. blink.gif
