If you find an HTML editing tool that sounds/looks good, download the trial version for free off the manufacturers website and if you like it, then buy it. I just got the trial for WYSIWYG html editor. I can't find anything that indicates that it is open source, but if you want to edit the source, open the page on your browser (this works on Internet Explorer), click view on the menubar then source and edit it from there, then save it.

Otherwise email the company and just ask them what the product features.
Hope this helps.

The only editors I found on the Wikipedia list of (pseudo-)WYSIWYG editors that were open source were:
  • Amaya
  • Bluefish
  • KompoZer
  • Quanta Plus
  • SeaMonkey
With that said, I don't recommend psuedo-WYSIWYG editors, because they mislead the author into thinking that the web is WYSIWYG, when it is not.

I have a feeling karunakar means a WYSIWYG editor like the one I'm typing in right now, i.e. one that can be used in a web page.
