Full Version: Listbox?

Hi,

Here's the situation. I'm using Microsoft Frontpage to make my website because I honestly can't be bothered to learn HTML and it's much easier for what I'm doing.

I now need to create a listbox. I need this listbox to have a number of choices and go to a specific page when the user hits a button. Now, the reason for using a listbox is because my list is FAR too long and is much easier to navigate with a listbox.

The PROBLEM is, I can make a listbox in Frontpage, but it makes me go "New Entry" blah blah etc. I already HAVE a list of like 1000 things I want to just be able to paste and do each hyperlink myself. Is this possible? Or do I actually have to make a new entry on a listbox for EVERY SINGLE choice of my list? sleep.gif

So what is a "listbox"? A select element? A list of checkboxes? A list of links?

Is this really a question about markup? Or is it about using MS Frontpage?

Sorry, by listbox I guess I mean a list of links. Navigated with a scrollbar. Inside a box. wacko.gif

And what I'm looking for is an HTML code I can use. Sorry about any Frontpage confusion.

So why would anyone bother to help you? But see this FAQ.

I'm thinking something along the lines of having a .htm file with my list and corresponding hyperlinks, and on the main page some sort of box or frame that can contain this separate htm file to a certain size which I can scroll with.

Any idea on how to do this?

That sounds like an inline frame, but see the FAQ entry Are there any problems with using frames?

See also the FAQ entry How do I include one file in another?
