http://rufushale.com/test.html .

I am using Flash Pro 8 and DW 8 on ibook g4.

The problem is that i cannot seem to prevent the white Flash "stage" from taking up most of the screen, covering the bg image. It does not matter how small I make it in Flash.

Here is the code:

<html>
<head>
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="Assets/Images/favicon.ico" >
<title>test</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<script language="JavaScript">
<!--
<!--
function MM_reloadPage(init) { //reloads the window if Nav4 resized
if (init==true) with (navigator) {if ((appName=="Netscape")&&(parseInt(appVersion)==4)) {
document.MM_pgW=innerWidth; document.MM_pgH=innerHeight; onresize=MM_reloadPage; }}
else if (innerWidth!=document.MM_pgW || innerHeight!=document.MM_pgH) location.reload();
}
MM_reloadPage(true);
// -->

function MM_findObj(n, d) { //v4.0
var p,i,x; if(!d) d=document; if((p=n.indexOf("?"))>0&&parent.frames.length) {
d=parent.frames[n.substring(p+1)].document; n=n.substring(0,p);}
if(!(x=d[n])&&d.all) x=d.all[n]; for (i=0;!x&&i<d.forms.length;i++) x=d.forms[i][n];
for(i=0;!x&&d.layers&&i<d.layers.length;i++) x=MM_findObj(n,d.layers[i].document);
if(!x && document.getElementById) x=document.getElementById(n); return x;
}
function createWindow(cUrl,cName,cFeatures) {
var xWin = window.open(cUrl,cName,cFeatures)
}

//-->
</script>

It's just a guess, but this looks suspicious:
CODE
width="100%" height="100%"

Looked that way to me too, but no luck. It scales down the stage AND the content of the flash movie itself, so that the white stage is smaller, but remains in the same proportion to the movie (the white stage is still there).

Maybe I need another method for the bg image altogether.

URL?
thighmister
You mean for the page?

http://rufushale.com/test.html

It's at the top of first post, no?

Or do you mean something else?

Sorry I'm pretty green here.

Also would like to know how to add more thumbnails to my scrollpane in flash without having to rename the thumbnails movie clip and content path for the scrollpane, if you happen to have any thoughts on that.
pandy
Yes, I meant that. Sorry, I didn't see it. I tried and what Darin said works. Did you view the page in another browser than IE perhaps and forgot to change the attributes for EMBED?
thighmister
Holy moly. I'm going to retrace my steps, right now.

I'm using firefox.

Thank you a thousand times! I'll post how it goes.
thighmister
Dog nibble it. I just changed that stuff to 50%, but no change in firefox:

<div align="center">
<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="50%" height="50%">
<param name="movie" value="test3.swf">

<param name="quality" value="high">
<embed src="test3.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="50%" height="50%"></embed>
</object>
</div>

</body>
</html>

What am I missing??
pandy
Don't know. Works for me. Upload it. angry.gif
