Cathay Host should start with their own website. It's just images of text. If they learnt enough HTML to use real text, search engines would pick it up and they wouldn't have to resort to spamming boards in their hunt for customers.

The HTML there is is antiquated and invalid.

I wouldn't recommend a web design company that fails with its own site to anyone.

"They"? rolleyes.gif

I'm still struggling to accept "they" as an alternative for "he or she", and now it's becoming an alternative for "we". Oh no!
pandy
You shouldn't complain. Here it becomes more and more usual to refer to a human as "it" instead of he or she if you earlier have referred to *it* as for example a person (anything but a sex defining word really). Not only young people doing it either. As an example...

The person crossed the street. Then it went into the bookshop.

Ewww...
Darin McGrew
Actually, I find "it went into the bookshop" less annoying than "they went into the bookshop", at least when there is only one person.

Of course, the language I grew up with ("he went into the bookshop" even when the person in question may be either male or female) is no longer politically correct...

You have a point there. Wasn't that many years ago I learnt about that use of "they". I used to write it off as typo. Don't think I ever noticed it in spoken English before. Seems to be used in all English speaking countries though. Not totally sure about Britain, but the aussies do it too.

It is used in Britain, and I was never picked up by any of English teachers for doing so when I was at school so I assume it is correct use of the English language. There will naturally always be differences in written and spoken English from country to country. My biggest annoyance is having to type align="center" rather than the correct (to me) align="centre". It also annoys me that American English over uses the Z - for example immobiliser / immobilizer, realise / realize etc!
