I have a side menu on my website, within which I would like a short quote to appear. I would like to make it so that everytime someone navigates through to a different part of the website, a new quote appears/generates at random in this menu. Is this possible? And if so, how can it be done?

It can be done, using either Javascript (only if the quote is not essential to the site, as javascript can be disabled or unavailable) or server-side programming, for instance PHP or Perl. Either solution requires a bit of (simple) programming.

One of these CGI random-text programs or one of these PHP random-text programs may meet your needs.
