I think the person who posted a topic should be able to delete it. That will reduce the clutter, because they can delete it after they find an answer. I get really annoyed angry.gif not knowing which topics aren't answered yet.

But then others who have a similar problem can't benefit. I think it's a matter of approach, really. Either we see the board as a service to help singular individuals out, not very interesting in my opinion, or we see it as a knowledge base that can be searched by others in the future.

Besides, there are sneaky people who systematically delete their threads as soon as they have gotten their answer. Probably because they are ashamed they had to ask in the first place and don't want it to haunt them later.

If you read the question before it's answered it will get a New Post icon when there is an answer. rolleyes.gif
Plus there is a column that tells you how many answers there are. If it says 0 you know.
