For some reason every search engine seems to be ignoring my "Other Links" page on my website. My other pages are being indexed, but this page is not. As far as I can tell, there is no reason for it. It's linked to from the main page and it's error free according to W3C's error checker. Does anyone have any suggestions/Ideas?

Since http://www.iseriestools.com/other.shtml only contains links and ads it might be considered inferior or even a "link farm", especially considering the link to http://monsterlinkswap.com/

The TITLE text is not very relevant to the page's content either (but that goes for your other pages too).

Yes, I don't see what can be indexed. As Christian said, there's nothing but links. Still, the page has a page rank of 3 in Google. I wouldn't complain.

Can you remind me how one finds out the "google rank" of a page? (And what does it mean, exactly, 3?)

The Google Toolbar (for IE and, I think, FF) displays PR. So does the Google Directory. Curiously the scales are not the same. The toobar uses a scale 1-10 and the directory a scale 1-8. I think it's the google bar scale people most often refer to. One could say both give an indication about the PR Google really uses in its algorithm.

Only a handful of sites have PR 10, among them W3C, MIT, New York Times and Google itself. htmlhelp.com's frontpage has PR of 8 (google bar).

I don't know how that has been worked out. People sit and measure those bars. Probably there are only 8 different graphics.

Well, I don't have the Google toolbar, and though I can find my site in the Google directory, I can't see any indication of "Page rank". Where is it? Or can you tell me the PR for http://imaginatorium.org/shop

I'm still a bit confused as to what it means .

It's those green bars to the left of each listing. No text equivalent. But the list of sites can be sorted by importance by clicking "View in Google PageRank order" at the top of the page.



imaginatorium.org (main page) has PR 5 and shop has PR 4.
