I was looking for a script that allows users to create pages of game reviews and such much like gamespot.com
Is there a software that allows for this kind of content? I would like to add this to my site where people can add screenshots, reviews/opinions, cheats, downloads, mods, etc.

Does it allow you to create categories for screenshots, downloads, cheats, etc? I just wish I knew what script they used...
No idea, you'd have to research them. I only gave you a link to some.
Personally, I used PostNuke for years and it did have what you are after, the ability to post reviews, screenshots and have user ratings and comments, etc.
However, it's a full-blown CMS and it may be overkill for what you want.

Full blown CMS? The more the merrier I believe

No, it's eminently customisable. There's more skins and add-ons for it than you can throw a stick at.
