Let me just say, I am just faking my way through this web site building thing. So I've come to the experts for help and to learn.

First off, I have pieced together a web-site for my business. I want to be able to take orders online, but don't know how to get the orders to come to my e-mail address when the customer hits the "Submit" box.

I'm using a company to host my web-site (i won't mention any names) which gave me the templates to build my website. I'm not really crazy about this company, but it's also my first experience. Maybe some of you can point me in the right direction to a good company. (something cheap and easy)

I'm slowly trying to ad things to it, but really don't know how or where to find them. Things like County maps to show an area of service.

Please Help........

If you aren't familiar with the security issues involved in running a secure ecommerce server, then I recommend that you hire a third-party vendor to do that for you.

This assumes the customers are paying with credit cards. If they just order things and will pay in some other way (say offline, or with paypal) you don't need a secure server.

See http://htmlhelp.com/faq/html/forms.html#mailto-form

Quite possibly the webhost offers ready-made email form scripts, but then you may not be able to customize e.g. checkboxes, radio buttons etc.

In my opinion u firstly shd. mail to all of ur known people and let them know ur doing a great job! Then u shd. search on the net and note all of the email id's at one place, then mail them and tell them about the kind d services u'll provide to them.by this most of the people will come to know that u and ur so called business exist somewhere and after u have advertise about ur.....,u can mention then u take orders online and give them there orders personally or as per ur budget or investment allows to u!
