Full Version: Great on firefox and chrome but not IE8

Hi Guys,

I try to get my ebay store happening (custom design)
The template looks ok in Firefox and G Chrome but some of the tables are moved to the right in IE8

This there someone to point me in the right direction?

I am not a profi as you can see :-)

If the real page doesn't use a doctype either, you should add one. Then you should validate.

Nope, I get a login page.

Sorry, I overlooked it's an ebay page. Then you probably shouldn't have a doctype and probably not HTML, BODY and so on either. Is the markup you posted based an a template given to you from eBay? I don't use eBay, but as far as I understand the additions you make will be embedded in their page, so it shouldn't be a complete HTML page (with doctype, head, body...), but I could be wrong. If I'm right, whatever you create will also be affected by what eBay already has there.

If you can post the link to your actual eBay page it would help some.

Here is the correct on looks awful in IE8 but it is ok in chrome etc

Yeah, if you view source you can find the markup you posted above in the middle of theirs. You need to remove the whole head section and the BODY tags to start with.
