I have a blogspot blog on my site (http://duncansphotos.com or http://duncans-photos.blogspot.com) and I'd like to use the web version instead of the mobile version of the theme that loads automatically when I view my blog on my site from my iphone.

Is it possible to force the blog to load in web version instead of the mobile version or turn off the mobile version? Thanks.

I don't know. I just wanted to say that my android phone seems to load the normal theme even though I had it set to use mobile if possible. Unless they are so similar that I don't notice the difference, not too good at spotting details, me.

This should depend on how identification is done.

If the blog uses some kind of browser sniffing (such as User Agent string sniffing or javascript browser detect), change the site's sniffing script or how your browser identifies itself (if it lets you change that).

If the blog uses CSS media queries to give smallscreen browsers different CSS, change the stylesheets or override your browser's preferred stylesheet (if it lets you).

I'm definitely a novice at this.. maybe you could give me some idea of what to look for?

the blogs source is at http://duncans-photos.blogspot.com/ I'm not sure what to look for and I don't want to start just removing lines of code at random.

Can't be bothered to look through all the bloated code, but in general it seems to me that sites using server-side UA sniffing redirect you to a different URL for mobiles. If the URL stays the same, compare the HTML source between a mobile and desktop browser. You may also want to test with a desktop browser that can spoof a mobile UA string.

Also try disabling JS and see if that makes any difference.

If media query CSS is used, you should (IIRC) see a change in stylesheet when you resize a desktop browser window.

How disgusting. I'd hate to have that happen.

Does anyone have any actual experience doing this?

Ok. Here's an update:

Instead of messing around with the CSS on my blog which I have no experience with I tried something else.

I changed the 'blog' link on my site http://duncansphotos.com from http://duncans-photos.blogspot.com to --> http://duncans-photos.blogspot.com/?m=0

I thought adding the /?m=0 would make the browser load the web version of the blog theme instead of the mobile version

But I still cannot get the web version of my blog to load in the bottom frame of my site when I click the link. Can someone please help me figure out why?

-----

My goal is to load the web version of my blog on my site, not the mobile version, when you visit it on a phone.

Is there a parameter I can change to stop the mobile version of my blog from loading?
