hello,

how can i fill automatically a username and/or password to a website?
for ex.: i open gmail.com into my browser (opera), and now how can i create a html script to fill a username and a password?

thanks.
Darin McGrew
You can't do that with HTML.

Many browsers have password features where they'll remember usernames and passwords that you've entered into sites that you've visited. When you return to them, they can fill in the username and password automatically. Is that the kind of thing you're looking for?

If the username and password are saved in a cookie, a server-side script (e.g. PHP) can read that when generating the HTML for the page. Or a client-side javascript can read the cookie and populate the form fields when the page is rendered.

This is only possible for the cookie that's been set for that domain. It should not be possible to read other sites' cookies for security reasons.

Or buy 1Password by Agilebits (available for Mac, PC, iOS and Android).
