As you can see I'm new to this forum and have only joined as you seem to be a strong community able to help newbies with patience and honesty.

I'm new to HMTL and have only just begun coding and already the potential scope has maybe made my eyes bigger than my stomach (eyes being ambition and stomach being skills!).

The website I run (I'll be careful not to mention too much as I don't want to be seen as plugging) are fundraising for charity. To encourage companies and people to donate larger amounts they want a page that is a splash page with the logo/image/name of the person/brand that donated money.

They want the image to be a proportional size to the amount they donated. The target they are looking to raise is £250,000, so far there is one donation of £20 so therefore the page would have one image at 1:12500 scale of the total page (have I lost you yet?).

What I need is an HTML programme with a calculation that would enable me to insert their logo/name/image and the amount they donated for it to then work out how much screen they are allocated and assign that a random position on the page (If there is a particularly good coder on here that can figure a way of populating from the centre of the page outwards then that would be legendary).

Any help would be great!!

For starters, there is no such thing as an HTML program. HTML isn't a programming language. It's just markup.

Perhaps one of the graphing programs among these CGI and PHP image programs would meet your needs:

Thank you for the pointer, I knew this wasn't going to be easy! I suppose that I could layout the page with images proportionately larger (dependant on the donation amount) by a very simple image layout code.

Does anyone know a way of writing the layout in an apparently random order (not like a gallery).

I recall someone becoming famous for doing just that a few years ago.

I know this is a little counterproductive, but if you expect very few donations, maybe you could do it manually?
