Well, I don't have a crystal ball, but we certainly feel like pandy and Christian are part of the official team now that they are moderators. They have contributed to the HTMLHelp community for a long time and they have, and will, certainly contribute to the new forums. These are all great steps.

Before we ever do that, of course, they'll both have to reveal their true identities to the world!


Well, I'm not sure what a better word for it is. HTML is manipulated by web authors every day, but we only care about when they "cheat".

The Web Design Group was formed to promote the use of valid and creative HTML documents that can be read using any device. It does not push any particular software, screen resolution, etc., although it may express reasoned preferences where appropriate.

I mean, I want the right to continue to say that Microsoft's "save as HTML" option sucks. (I'm agnostic. I'll say the same thing for OpenOffices's analogous option.)

I like the "Lo-Fi" version of this BBS; pity that I don't seem to be able to use it when I'm posting.

Registration IS mandatory. Only the Assistance board will allow anon posting because if someone is having trouble creating a login they need a place to get some help...


I've heard that a few times now. Unfortunatly Invision seems to have only intended to use the Lo-Fi version for search engine purposes. And I don't have the time or skill to mod the board to allow the use of said version for posting.

Having said that, at some point I will try to find the time to install an additional "skin" for the board which would be similar to the Lo-Fi and allow users to choose their skin preferences in "My Controls". Creating said skin will be a LOT of work if I can't find one. Of course, if one exists and somebody finds it then I'll just install it. :-)

Well after working with the team for a decade now I can honestly say that we do not have any official "reasoned preferences". The ONLY preferences we have are to stick to standards. Even when the implementation of standards is broken, we advocate finding a standards-based work around.

I've been trying to think of another way to say it to make it more clear, but I just can't seem to come up with one. Perhaps it's just one of those statements that will occasionally need clarification?
