Full Version: RSS Feeds Embedded into html
HTMLHelp Forums > Web Authoring > Markup (HTML, XHTML, XML)
Hello, everyone!
I was curious if anyone had any idea how to do something very specific with an embed RSS feed; I am attempting to embed an RSS feed from a blog into an html web site, but I am trying to skip the first and/or second feed item so that the first item to appear on the html site is not the latest blog-post, but the second and/or third latest. Does that make sense? Is something like this possible?

In any case, I greatly appreciate anything anyone can do, even if only to point me in the direction.

Thank you again,
Brian Chandler
It is possible. But (UIMM) an RSS feed is an xml document: you will need some utility to run on your server to convert it into an html fragment to put in your page. Any decent such utility should give you this sort of programmability -- sort I don't know any specifics at all.

Search for "embed rss feed on website".

And have a look here:

I don't know if and how you would skip the first feed entry though, but there might be ways.
