Hello everyone!

I have a task that i cant deal with it. Its the second time now and i dont know why it happens again. sad.gif

i built a site that has frames and in the main frame should appear an external site : http://hallmark.businessgreetings.com/
well, the site shows but when i go to click the top buttons ( Sign in, my account, shopping cart, etc) THEY DONT WORK! it loops again to that home site, where the rest of the links work ok. Then if I access to these other links when I hit continue it doesnt work too.

Let me tell you that these buttons work ok in Mozilla Firefox but not on Internet Explorer 8!
I dont know if has to do with the version of html or if its javascript from the source site. blink.gif

Like 4 months ago happened the same and i could fix it by making an html file with a frame and this site inside, but now that doesnt work either.

Please help gurus!

The site what im talking about where i cant make it work is
www.greetingcardsondemand.com

Many Thanx In Advance!

pandy
Maybe the other site doesn't like to be framed.

See, i tried with allowscriptaccess='always' n for a moment it worked.
but in other pc does not then restarted mine n same doesnt work..

how can i permit my site accept the external script

If they have taken means to avoid being framed, there's nothing you can do about it more than ask your users to turn JS off.

FYI framing other sites without their consent isn't really good behavior. Neither is starting new threads about the same topic. I deleted the other one. ninja.gif

sorry about posting twice!

just to make it clear, i do have permission to link their site, the owners have chains for hallmark n they give them allowance as they have a coupon code for their business to promote their sales.. thats why they ask me to embedded it..
any way guess i would need find new way to please them!
thanx anyway

OK. There's something odd going on here. What browsers have you tried with? I could have sworn it didn't work in either in FF or IE yesterday until I turned JS off, but today it does work in FF. Not in IE though. wacko.gif

Have you enabled cookies?

BTW I also saw some invalid HTML in some of the framed pages. The validator will point it out.
pandy
Invalid HTML wouldn't cause this and outofhere cant do anything about it anyway. I have cookies on, with some limitations maybe... that could be it. Not sure how browsers see "same domain" when frames are involved. Is the framing page even in the mix here?

So does this mean it works for you in IE?
pandy
Next peculiarity. In Opera the Hallmark page shows the raw HTML. wacko.gif
pandy
Content-Type text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1

I have cookies off in Opera, and got the same problem as the OP. When I enabled cookies it worked.

I recall IE has security settings about both frames and domains, not sure I understand them though. wacko.gif
