What are good ads to put on your site when you already have Google Adsense? I understand that Google will not let you have any other text ads because they can look the same ( I guess this rules out the Yahoo ads). So what are some other good companies to look into for ad placement in order to generate revenue?
thanks |

nWo Sting,
Actually Google used to have a rule that you could not use other contextual ads on your site, but that has since been changed. You can use anyone else you like even in conjunction with Google. I have been at the AdTech show in San Francisco for the last couple of days and when I get back home to Dallas I'll begin sharing several of the ad programs I learned about at the show. I'll be posting them to the new Blog initially, but then we may filter them into this group in the forums as well. So keep an eye out on the Blog over the next week and you'll begin seeing some of the ones that I found to be most interesting. John -------------------- |

I don`t think so. We can not fool google because google has program detection for site. So if google know we put other banner but not google, Maybe google will ban. haha yea that happened to me a few years back - my name got banned from google adsense. i got a very... "law" looking letter from google in the post stating they were refusing to pay me out - i think it was around 650 euro's at the time because of: 1: i had other adverts on the site 2: i was clicking my own ad's 3: i was embedding my ads into html emails 4: i was purposely adding words to my html to bring higher paying adverts to my page (thats fine but if you do what i done " computer computer computer computer computer computer computer computer computer computer computer computer computer computer computer computer computer computer" etc and blend it in with the same color as the background) ... well...any site i've tried to "adsense" with them i always get refused - haha! anyway im going to start using another developer of my sites name in my next adsense advert application into my site -------------------- |

You should also take a look at Google display adverts. Google adsense except with image advert formats. A great cheap way to get a dislay campaign started yourself!
Take a look at this: http://www.google.com/adwords/displayadbuilder/ I also post about display ads and how they should fit into your overall online marketing strategy: http://www.advancedinternetmarketing.co.uk If you have any online marketing questions, let me know or add a comment on my blog. Well as far as I know, do not use any other ads on the same page if you are having google adsence.
Top most competitor of google adsence is Adbrid. According to them you can use other ad network along with Adbrid but google has not specified anything like this. This post has been edited by newwebseo: May 12 2011, 04:45 AM -------------------- |
