I have two problems with my site. The first is the scrollbar problem, the code that I am using worked fine on my old site but now it doesn't seem to work with this one. The second problem is with the body. When you first open up the page it works fine. It's when you navagate between the pages when it starts to screw up. The menu part of the page separates from the main part by an inch or two. Then if you refresh the page it returns to normal. I have no idea what the two problems can be. Thank you for your time. I have attached a copy of one of the pages. If you open it up and click on the news link you will see what I am talking about. Thanks again.

*Edit* - I tried to look at the file just by opening it from here. To see what I mean I had to save it and then look at it to get the right effect.

Then maybe you could provide us with a URL so we can actually see that?

How are we supposed to navigate between the pages from that?

I can refresh the news page, yes. But without access to the other pages I can't see the other pages, can I?

The same exact thing happens to the other pages as well..... I put the code in for the scrollbar to be colored and that doesnt work. Then when you open and refresh the page it looks normal, it's only when you click on the links in the menu is when you can see the menu separate from the main part of the page. It happens with all the pages and the code is the same for all of them, I used a template. So if you click on the link for the news you can see what I am talking about.

OK,once again... clicking the links in the menu doesn't take me anywhere, so how can I see what you describe?

OK let me see if I can explain this differently.
1st - Go to my original post, my question to begin with.
2nd - Go to where is says:
Attached File(s)
news.html ( 17.58k )
3rd - Right click on "news.html " and click on "save target as" and save it somewhere on your computer.
4th - Locate the file that you just downloaded and open it up with Internet Explorer.

Now, when you first open it, everything seems to be fine except for my first problem with the scrollbar not being colored like i wanted it to be.
Then go to the left side of the page where the menu is (it's the column in orange) and just click on the menu item that reads "news" (dont try any other links , as they won't work).
What should happen is the menu column will separate from the white part of the page.
Now hit the fefresh button on the browser and it should pop back to normal.

That is my second question, I dont know why it is doing that. It happens to every link on the site but if you refresh the page it goes back to normal.

I hope this is a better explanation. Thanks

You don't need the <!-- HTML comments --> inside the STYLE element. Besides, in XHTML, it is supposed to comment out the CSS.

Make up your mind whether you're using XHTML or HTML, and don't switch back and forth.

Fix the errors reported by our online validator (links at top and bottom of page).

I don't see that behavior.

Jesus, do you call that "navigate between the pages"?

IE6 does that and more.
