Yes you're getting much closer!! rolleyes.gif

Now you should check the page with a validator to clear up a few remaining errors.

There's a few structural errors. To start you should declare a DOCTYPE then follow the validator explanations to fix whatever else it indicates. This should ensure that all browsers hopefully get it right.

take the <BR> out of the second line in the doctype and you'll be there.

Ok, I got the validator to realize that I made it HTML 4.01 Transitional but at the top of the validator it says "This document is NOT HTML 4.01 Transitional." And then there's a bunch of errors that I'm not sure what to do about.

Then you might prefer WDG's validator with "Show input" checked (just follow the link). Then in the input, you'll find links to different sections of the HTML Reference for more information on an element.

As for the ALT error, go read the Use of ALT texts in IMGs article.

That should help you get on the way.

  1. bgcolor color needs to be in QUOTES "#FFFFFF"
  2. background image can't be put in a TD, you can do this with CSS if you really need it
  3. I tremble as i type I'd recommend forgetting line 35 for now . . . it's a political saga that exiles the much more useful EMBED tag for plug-ins in favor of OBJECT - you're using both which most people do.
  4. add alt="some meaningful text" tags to your image tags as the above advice instructed
