As I probably mentioned somewhere else, HTML5 video delivery is rapidly becoming the way to go.
I've been really happy using the JWPlayer from Longtail Video, and recently started using their video delivery system Bits on the Run. Upload the video, they compress it and either give you a simple JavaScript link for playback on your site, or you can link in the player of your choice to the video file they've produced. Anyway, more than a plug for their service I wanted to point out this article they posted about the state of HTML5 video. Well, I totally agree with HTML5 being that much on the rise. In this day and age, I pretty much think that developers will most likely use it rather than others.
