I have this in my CSS:

#to
{
font-size: 10pt;
visibility: visible;
position: absolute;
top: 195px;
left: 5px;
width: 284px;
height: 96px;
}

and this in my HTML:

<div id="to">
To:<br>
<b>The Studio</b><br>
233 Harvard Avenue<br>

Somewhere,
MI

05555<br>
USA

</div>

In Firefox the line "<b>The Studio</b>" displays fine on screen, but prints as if there were extra spaces in between the words "The" and "Studio".

Is this supposed to be this way, and is there anyway to compensate for it?

Are you sure that's all you have? Don't see it in print preview with the code you posted.

i take that back . . . What's your default font in FF.
If I set mine to some sort of monospaced font then the print preview is whacked.

Thanks for taking a look at this for me..

My default font in Times, size is 16. That's what FF default is I guess, I don't remember changing it. I'm looking at it on a Mac with the latest FF (1.5.0.7)

It's not a huge problem, just an annoyance. I'll test it with some more browsers, but I'm pretty sure it's only FF that does this.

Well that was my screenshot, Times 16 FF on a Mac. Must be something else at play.
