That's like asking whether someone prefers bananas, telephones, or handsaws. They all have their purposes, but they are hardly interchangeable.

Hi, sama123 that's absolutely an innovative question!
To further clarify: HTML is a client side markup language that browsers read and parse for rendering web pages. It is used in conjunction with CSS. While you may see HTML as the 'content' language, CSS is the 'appearance' language that decides how the 'content' will look. PHP is a server side language that generates HTML and CSS and send them to the client side browsers to chew up. Flash is an Adobe proprietary technology that delivers logically and physically enhanced interactivity and animations to the client browsers, because the functionalities of HTML and CSS are rather limited. As Darin put it, they are hardly interchangeable because all web professionals rely on them all for a seamless delivery of content and user experience. They each play their unique part in the process. This post has been edited by yang yang: Mar 8 2009, 01:07 AM |
