Hi
I have been asked to put together a not too complex website for a charity I am involved with. However I don't feel that my knowledge of raw html code will be enough to enable me to get the end result I would wish for and where I would dearly love to be able to purchase dreamweaver 8 for the website design we cannot justify spending that much money. I was wondering therefore if there may be another way to acquire a copy?

Thanks in advance of any advice.

Since your're from UK there is a way. Visit http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/philanthropy/faq.html click on the first link in FAQ, read and then compose a letter to Adobe.

Try NVU instead. It's completely free and produces quality code for a WYSIWYG app.

hi guys
Thanks for that stjepan will try that...

Also thanx for advice re NVU peter.

If I was to ask, what would folk here say was the best FREE wysiwyg editor and how would it compare with dreamweaver 8 ie are the features in it similar and also is it ok to use a number of different wysiwyg editors to design a site whilst making comparisons between them?

This is probably the wrong place to ask as we're all fairly circumspect of WYSIWYG editors.

Those types of editors have a nasty habit of showing you how wonderful a site/page looks in *one* browser.

If they are good it might work, but if they are poor the resulting code can become sligthly disastrous. If you're not familiar with HTML it might be hard to evaluate this.
