Help! I am a newbie webmaster volunteer for a Joomla based website. In updating email contact addresses, I notice that the code <a href="#mce_temp_url#"> was sometimes used instead of the more familiar (to me) <a href="mailto:emailaddress">. What does this do and why should (or shouldn't) you use it? Does it hide addresses from spiders?

It probably is a piece of Joomla's own code that it replaces with something else before the page is served. HTML it ain't. What does it look like if you view the parsed code, i.e. view source of a live page?

Thank you pandy. It looks and, as far as I can tell, acts like the "mailto" HTML. I will post the question to Joomla (as I probably should have done in the first place blush.gif ). Thanks again.
