I read that I had to explain very well so here goes...I have a page with 2 iframes (left and right)...the left iframe has a form which contains numbers which have been hypertexted to a blank form in the right iframe....I have the program opening up the right iframe from the left but it transfers the entire content from the left form to the right form so here's my problem...I want to click on a number in the left iframe and have that number only out of thousands appear in the right iframe...how do I do that without copying the entire forms content from the first iframe to the second.......if I lost anybody...let me know and I'll try to refraise......I've tried everything but this one has me really feeling stupid and I even write html.....any advice other than the thousands I've already tried is very much appreciated...thank you in advance

How about posting a link to the page in question so we can see? I have a hard time picturing what you're trying to do.
Also this isn't off-topic and should be moved. |

thank you...I'm still working on that page so I am a little reluctant to link to it but let me state it again somewhat differently...my page contains 2 iframes...the left iframe has data....the right iframe is blank.....I want to click on any data on my left iframe and move it or copy it to my right-blank page....but I only wish to move or copy the data that I select...not the entire contents of my left iframe...does anyone know how to write code for that function....I know it's similar to a hyperlink-target command but those basic commands do not work with what I want to do....there must be a way...by the way, I'm also finding out just how complex html can get when you want very specific functions.

That sounds like something that would need Javascript. Probably would have something to do with window.GetSelection.
