Hi, I just joined the forum this morning and all was fine with our site but now when I visit and refresh my browser the display seems to corrupt. I've read the page about the limitations of Blogger etc and it is based on the Blogger platform so I will try and find some help from them directly. The thing is though we are using a third party theme free version and so there is no support from them.

We've had other teething problems but this one has me flummoxed as I've not changed any settings or been tinkering at all so I have no idea why this should be occurring. I've tried clearing my browser cache but the problem persists and does so with different browsers, on both my laptop and desktop so I think it must be an issue with the site itself.

Can anyone suggest a good starting point for me to try and work out the cause of this issue? Everything has been working fine for months so this is a total head scratcher.

I was going to say I don't see the problem, but then I refreshed once more and the images in the video section changed to display one under the other and each image fills the whole width. It seems to happen randomly, but roundabout each 10th time I refresh. Is that it?

Hi Pandy, yes that is the issue. It seems to be variable and different site users are finding that as well but overall there's definitely a gremlin in there somewhere. When the video thumbnails get stretched lengthways all the recent article thumbnails below that point on the page also display a much lower resolution than they should and become pixelated as a result.

A bit of a disaster for us really and I'm not sure where to start looking for the cause or a fix. I have just read that Google were due to make some changes to Blogger this month although they do not sound like ones which should produce this side effect.

Something else I've found is that if I click on an article or video and then use my browser's back button to navigate back to the homepage that seems to cause it to then load and display correctly, until a page refresh once more upsets it. Not sure if that really gives any more of a clue as to the cause though.

Edit (sorry I can't seem to figure out how to edit previous posts) anyway just to say our site seems to have fixed itself overnight smile.gif

I suspect perhaps yesterday's fault was down to Google pushing out updates for the Blogger platform but whatever the cause I'm relieved it's self healed. I think in time we will look to move to a Wordpress set up so we have more control and can hopefully avoid things like this reoccurring in the future.

Many thanks for your reply Pandy and visiting the site yesterday to assess things.
