How to add midi Options

How do i add a midi file to an html document?
i tried this in notepadd ++ but it didnt turn colors like valid codes and i tried it but it did nothing

You can link to a sound file the same way as you link to any file.
<a href="calvin.mid">Listen to...</a>

If you want it to play in the background you have to use the non standard EMBED.

I wouldn't bother with BGSOUND that the FAQ mentions though. The last browser that needed it was IE 2 IIRC.

That's a pretty funny page, I get a popup telling me my browsers can't play sound . . . ha ha ha imagine that. I'd stay away from those intricate javascript approaches unless you want to make work for yourself.

For a midifile you might consider something simple like this. Note this will not validate because embed tags uselful as they are have become politically incorrect.

Note: you'd have to test this on MS platforms.
Note2: May throw off scary IE7 activeX warnings.
