In my IE6 I only get this:

QUOTE
Alternate HTML content should be placed here. This content requires the Macromedia Flash Player. Get Flash

probably because I've disabled activeX in the browser, and the Flash detection script relies on that (and javascript and VBscript) for IE.

I don't know why the movie loops, when you open the Flash movie alone it works fine in both IE6 and Firefox: http://www.judaicaman.com/jewtv.swf

There are some HTML syntax errors that might be relevant: http://www.htmlhelp.com/cgi-bin/validate.c...judaicaman.com/

I looked at it with Safari 2.x and Flash 9. The video seems to keep looping although the sound keeps playing.

My suspicion is that the javascript method of playing the file is conflicting with the embed tag that is there for the non-javascript viewers.
Try removing the embed tag and see if that helps.

I took the embed out and still the same issue, although i also put it on index2.html and index3.html the 1st with a javascript and the 2nd with tradition al embedding and bouth seem to work. so must be something in the code on index.html, id like to have it as index.html because that covers the whole page without any borders

at this point they all work fine in all Mac browsers.

The sound is only in index3 as you probably are aware.
Index2 is the one that will avoid the ActiveX warning in new versions of Windows, explorer.

you need to close your <embed> tags.
no need to use xhtml type tags - <blah blah />, forget the trailing slash
putting the bgcolor of the body as black will avoid any borders

Why?

Actually, some have argued that we shouldn't bother with avatars at all...
