There used to be a tag in HTML that was used when you wanted a listing sort of like credits in a movie-- a name, then a row of dots, then a character name. As far as I know that tag doesn't work anymore. I cannot remember the name, but I want to do a nice even listing so I don't have to type in each dot separately. Am I making any sense? lol Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I think this example is what you're looking for, but there has never been an HTML tag that would do that.

I think this example is what you're looking for

The markup consists of DIV elements only, though. There might be more suitable elements, like DL?

Also the markup doesn't seem to reflect the sub-category structure (IMO sub-categories should be nested inside the main category).
