Hello,
I'm trying to create a smooth scroll between anchors on this site, but most of the jquery options I have tried don't work. I'm not sure if it's because the div I want to smooth scroll within has the property overflow:hidden and that the links are outside the div? Here is a link to the website www.johnwilliamwalters.co.uk/cv.html Thanks, John |

I don't see any attempt to do that. The jQuery library is there, but no call to some scrolling.
Maybe this css-tricks snippet will help: http://css-tricks.com/snippets/jquery/smooth-scrolling/ (see demo inside). |

I suppose Frederiek meant that css-tricks.com posts jQuery scripts as well (or were you just ironic pandy?). Maybe you can affect scrolling behavior with pure CSS3 Transitions or Animations too, but browser support may not be as good as with javascript/jQuery.

Ha, ha, of course.
There are seven categories in the snippets page. Recently, I looked at a video on his site and saw that he had spaces in his Dock. I searched Google and found a Terminal snippet on how to do just that at css-tricks. But as he says in his footer: CSS-Tricks*… *May or may not contain any "CSS" or "Tricks". |

Hi Frederiek, I added the css-tricks snippet, but it is not behaving the way it should and is scrolling at weird increments, have you any idea what could cause this problem? Thanks, John |

I don't know. I don't see that, all is well in Safari/Mac.
