Infinite table Options

I am pretty new at html,and I was wondering if anyone knew how to make a tables height do until the bottom of the users page. I used height:100%,but that made so the table went to the bottom of the screen when the page is loaded, so when i scroll down it is cut off, but if i go to the top of the page it looks just fine. Even when i zoom out, if it is scrolled all the way up, it appears fine, but once i scroll down it is cut off. The table i am using only contains a picture that tiles itself down, for decoration.
