Remove the padding from the rule for TABLE. That's what makes the spacing disproportional. Or rather you need to split that rule in two so only TH and TD have padding but TABLE still has the border.
Actually, I didn't think TABLE could have padding, but the browsers I tried display it. Interesting. |
