Hey guys,
I've been working on my portfolio redesign for some time now and I'm having trouble getting my content centered. My landing page is here: http://bit.ly/gk0aPz When you click through to the "writing" section, you'll notice my content shifts 2-3px to the left. I am guessing this is because of the scrollbar being present on the "writing" section. Any idea how I can get it to be perfectly center? Thanks! |

I'm not seeing the page shift at all with fire fox and everything looks centered other than the images. I went to your link them click on writing?

It's a very tiny shift (2px). Try clicking back and forth between writing and the landing page quickly and it's more apparent. |

Hmm. I wonder if this has to do with my visual styles. I run Windows 7 x64 and I have the theme set to classic.
Here's Chrome, Firefox and IE8: Anyone else seeing this? Edit: Nope, not visual styles. Still have the problem with aero. I have reproduced the problem on Safari as well. This post has been edited by Steve Yelle: Feb 20 2011, 02:10 AM |

hmm I don't think i'll be any help as i'm on a lap top with a 1600x900 screen res. Your landing page is taller than 900px so i'm showing a scroll bar on both pages.
I guess that's why I'm not able to see the issue. I've never ran into this before but can you just force a scroll bar on your main page? That way it would at least match the rest of your site. I found this on a good search it seems pretty straight forward. http://ryanfait.com/resources/forcing-vertical-scrollbars/ |
