This may be the most stupid question to ever trouble the forum, but I have a problem using Dreamweaver that has stopped me working for days now.
Any image that I had put into the design pane was previewing fine in any browser. Then something happened (maybe I changed a setting somewhere accidentally) and no image will preview in any browser unless I drag it into the design pane from the asset panel. Images still appear OK in design pane. Other objects, such as Flash or text are previewing OK in browsers. The problem is the same for Firefox, IE and Safari. I have tried relinking the images and putting new images into new pages both inside and outside the root folder on my local site. Is there a way to return Dreamweaver to default settings in case I've changed something? Or is it possibly a software corruption. I am using MX2004 on an old Mac running OSX10.2.8. The site is not up so I can't send a link or anything. If anyone has any advice or pointers, I would be very grateful. |

Just to add something more specific to my problem stated earlier today, I notice that where the code is
<p><img scr="/images... the image will display if I change it to <p><img scr="../../images I just noticed this difference between an image brought in from the assets panel, and one inserted in any other way. If anyone has an idea why Dreamweaver is suddenly writing the code like this, it would be great to hear it. I am struggling to amend all the code for a nav bar, and it feels like it's going to be a slow and frustrating way forward. |
