Hello all..
I need html code that is invisible to all users and will link to another page on my site. is this possible?
It would be nice if I can specify the size of button/link to be about 1" square.

HTML code can't be invisible, all you can do is make it harder for users to understand. Why do you want to do it in the first place?

I need a link to a page for members only and want to avoid a login/password scenario.
I could use a dot or some other element on the page if that makes it possible.
Is there another way to do what I am trying to accomplish?
I am open to suggestions

Why have a link at all? Just have a page that the rest of the site doesn't link to, and give members the URL. Of course, nothing stops members from sharing that URL with others.

Or stop trying to avoid "a login/password scenario".

Or stop pretending that you have a "members only" section if you aren't going to have "a login/password scenario".

Sharing a url is of course one way to do this I agree. I foresee people not bookmarking and forgetting the url. I would like to avoid that with an area on page they can click that is not readily available/visible to general public. nothing on the page that is secret by any means. it will be a page that archives a member publication.
If there is no better way I will use the unlinked url method.

You could make the link text invisible in various ways with CSS, e.g. "visibility: hidden", or you could make the link look like plain text with CSS (sometimes spammers try to hide links that way here on the forum). Any of this is easily circumvented, of course.

Also note that search engine bots will follow an invisible link and display the page in ordinary search engine results (unless the hidden link is considered search engine manipulation, which may harm your site's search engine ranking, or you've disallowed indexing of the secret page in your robots.txt file).

Furthermore, any links to other sites on the hidden page may reveal its URL to the other sites' owners, due to the browser's referrer header.

A password can be shared too...

Prepare in Photoshop a blank PNG image file or use the color of your page, it will be an invisible button
