Hi,
I am totally new to html and have a question about removing a bracket that appears next to my business name. Please see line #19 below where it says "Business Name Here". This shows up on my browser as "<Business Name Here". Can someone please identify the character that is causing this bracket to appear so I can remove it? Thanks for your help. hboffshore <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Privacy Policy</TITLE> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"><LINK href="Privacy Policy Sample_files/site.css" type=text/css rel=stylesheet> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.2900.3268" name=GENERATOR></HEAD> <BODY class=body_text text=#000000 bgColor=#eeeeee> <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0> <TBODY> <TR> <TD align=middle> <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=700 border=0> <TBODY> <TR> <TD width=125 rowSpan=2><IMG height=100 src="Privacy Policy Sample_files/gavel_red.jpg" width=150></TD> <TD background="Privacy Policy Sample_files/title_bg.jpg" bgColor=#ffffff height=55> <DIV align=center><B><FONT face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size=5><FONT color=#a31817 size=6>;Business Name Here </FONT></FONT></B></DIV></TD></TR> <TR> <TD align=right bgColor=#a31817> <DIV align=center><FONT face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><B><FONT color=#ffffff size=4>Your Judgment Recovery Specialists</FONT></B></FONT></DIV></TD></TR> <TR> <TD vAlign=top bgColor=#a31817> <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=150 border=0> <TBODY> <TR> <TD><IMG height=50 src="Privacy Policy Sample_files/space_clear.gif" width=150></TD></TR> <TR> <TD class=left_menu_off align=middle><A class=left_menu This post has been edited by hboffshore: Mar 2 2008, 08:01 PM |

No, I don't see that. But this isn't the whole document, is it? You probably have a loose "<" somewhere in the part of the table that's missing, maybe you've typed <<td> or similar.
You have many other errors though. http://htmlhelp.com/tools/validator/ |
