how to make a preview of a document, need help Options

hi, i am new to all of this but i have a web site at webs.com i am a teacher and i use this site to post documents like test and classroom material for them... i have seen in some teachers web sites that they have a box where people can preview the document and then decide to download it sort of like scribd has. can any of you help to do this for my site , and i mean maybe point me to a tutorial or something like that where i can find how to do it, or if you have a code that i can adapt. please i will be very greatful!
