So I have a tumblr set up, and on an additional page i want to display a mapped image (not like a blog post, i want the image to be the only thing on the page). i'll put the code for the image in the html box, save, etc., but when i go to the page there's no link on the image. i'm able to make the entire image a link, but whenever i try mapping the link doesn't work. i'll go back to edit the page's html and the code has changed; instead of the code for a mapped image, it's just the "img src" code.
here's the code before i save the changes: and here it is after: has anyone else encountered this problem? i don't have a lot of html knowledge or experience, whatever advice anyone has would be super helpful! (ps: i didn't write the code myself, i went to image-maps.com) |

Strange... First I thought Tumblr maybe allows only a limited set of HTML, but I googled up some instructional sites about how to use image maps on Tumblr, så that doesn't seem to be the case.
Don't those Tumblr guys offer ANY kind of support? Nowhere you can turn to with problems like this? Afraid there isn't much we can do. The problem isn't with your HTML, it's with Tumblr itself. If the editor eats your map by design or by mistake I can't but guess. |

Good luck. I have my doubts about them answering, but maybe I'm biased.
