But I couldn't find the answer to this question.

I have a family website that I want my brothers and sisters to be able to upload pictures... but I don't want to update a page each time.

the other problem is that my provider (1and1) doesn't allow directory viewing.

Is there any html code that would show the jpgs in a thumbnail view and could click on them to open another page as a full view?

Sorry if this makes no sense, or if it isn't possible, it would just make life easier!

Is there a way

When you say it doesn't allow directory viewing, what happens if you add

Options +Indexes

to a .htaccess in the docroot of your server space?

and I use an app that sounds like what you are after.
