this is the code that i'm using. I'm not even sure if its the right format or not. but if any of you know how i could remedy this that would be great! star outline [ number: & # 9734 ; ] cept, no spaces after the : thanks. fallenxstar |

Do you have any of the fonts that support the ☆ (☆) character installed on your system? I don't, which is why all my browsers show the "unknown character" symbol, rather than the white star symbol.

The Deja Vu fonts on that site are free and are worth getting IMHO. That's if you're interested in serious Unicode representation, of course.

QUOTE The Deja Vu fonts on that site are free and are worth getting IMHO. That's if you're interested in serious Unicode representation, of course. Perhaps. But that still doesn't help authors, unless these (or other complete Unicode fonts) are included by default on common, everyday computers. |

This is true, Darin, but my so-called advice was aimed at the OP who may be interested in getting hold of the DV fonts, and letting his users know that they exist and how they can obtain them if needed.

Ewww, that site has begun to autotranslate according to locale, not preferred language, and since "Google" is an image it remains "untranslated". It's impossible as a verb in Swedish. Dumbasses.

But I don't want it translated. That's why I'm complaining and set the preferred language to English in my browsers. But thank you anyway.
