hi all I am in Australia and in the process of designing a website for a friend.. and im stuck! I need some help.. i have finsihed some of the pages ..BUT... they have errors and i dont know how to get rid of the errors.. sad.gif they come up on internet explorer saying 'done but with errors'.. silly errors like 'expected '}' ' and ive tried adding one..but it hasnt fixed the problem.. sad.gif if anyones out there in the big world web willing to give me some advice or knows where to send me for help Id really appreciate it.. biggrin.gif

the index page seems ok but its the other pages coming up with errors..

For starters, I recommend that you fix the HTML errors and CSS errors reported by the online tools.

What "other pages"? The nav bar links to an introduction page, but all the other links go back to the main welcome page.

oh dear.. so people who dont have javascript available cannot access the website???

how do i fix that? any suggestions..
and yes im in process of fixing other erros\rs the the validator suggested

And it's very much IE-only Javascript you're using. In Firefox, the drop-down links verge on being unreadable.

Using DOM-based scripting will help avoid *most* of that.

Plus, as Darin said, don't rely on scripting for links, etc. You do want Google, etc to index your pages, right? Its robot doesn't "do" Javascript.
